Changes Coming In 2019

So, we're almost a month into 2019 (can you believe it?!) and it's definitely starting out with a bang for me!
I've got some big changes planned for The Cauldron this year, and I'm excited! Some of these changes have been planned for a while, some of them were forced (more on that in a minute), and some of them were just introduced onto my radar during one of my recent Tarot Journaling sessions. I'd like to get these announced ASAP so you guys know what's coming up and what won't be the same anymore.
Product Changes
◾️ Spell Candles - This is the one I was forced into! Up until now, I've used the same jar in two different sizes for my candles. One of those sizes has been abruptly discontinued. I found this out just as I was placing a new supply order, with no advance warning at all. I have to admit, I freaked out just a little for a minute. However, I decided to take it as an opportunity to reinvent the look of my candles with entirely new jars... which I've been thinking about doing anyway. But I tend to be the queen of thinking about doing something and taking forever to actually do the thing. So, I'm kind of grateful for this situation that forced me to make a change that I think is going to be really great!
Starting with my next restock batch, all Spell Candles will be the the same size. They'll be in a taller jar, more like a pillar shape. The overall size of the new candles (by weight of the wax) will be pretty close to the old "large" option, and they'll be priced accordingly.
I like this because I haven't really been feeling the size options for the Spell Candles lately. It doesn't make sense to me anymore that you have to choose whether you want a large spell or a small spell. With the new change, you'll get an artfully crafted handmade candle that has a powerful spell attached to it... and it will WORK. No more having to choose if you want the full deal or a smaller version, you're going to get the full spell.
Scented Soy Candles - These will still be available in two sizes, but they won't be in the same jars as before. I'm doing my best to keep them as close as possible to the same sizes that they were before!
Of course, my recipes are NOT changing one bit. Everything's staying exactly the same except for the container.
◾️ Home Cleansing & Protection Kits - This is a change that I'm making based on customer feedback. These have always contained Cascarilla Powder, a powerful protection powder that is made from ground eggshells. I get the eggshells exclusively from my own flock of hens! My hens lay one egg a day (in a super productive season) and they occasionally take a month or two off, especially during the winter. No eggshells, no Cascarilla Powder. This is the #1 reason that these kits are so frequently out of stock.
Well, based on customer feedback, it's also the least used item in that kit. I've learned that it's a very specialized item and apparently not widely utilized. I'll be swapping out the Cascarilla Powder in these kits for Palo Santo smudge/incense sticks, which are great for cleansing and purifying a space (and they smell positively divine!). Cascarilla will still be available on its own. This will allow me to prevent wasting what I consider to be a very precious resource, and it'll be much easier for me to keep both items in stock if they're not associated with each other!
Website Changes
◾️ The website will be changing quite a bit over the next few weeks or so. Think: simpler and more efficient. I've got some really cool design elements and a new logo in the works as well!
Services Changes
◾️ I'll no longer be offering the free sample Tarot Reading signup. As much as I love doing this, I really feel that it's not all that productive. Very few people actually even open them! Instead, I'll be offering a coupon for first-time subscribers. This allows me to devote that time to my customers while still offering something of value to those who choose to take advantage of it.
◾️ Lots of new services will be added to the site soon! Some of them are services I currently offer, but are not listed on the site. Some are services I used to offer and are now bringing back. A few of them are new! Make sure you keep an eye on this space!
I'm also working on new Spell Candles, a new bundle kit, and a new Love Reading that will (hopefully) be ready for Valentine's Day. Oh, and I'll be booking booth space at select festivals and fairs around California this year! Yep, 2019 is going to be huge for me! I'm anxious to see how it unfolds and what doors open up during the course of this year!
